How To Make Animal Paw Print Ornaments
This mail is sponsored by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and The Secret Life of Pets. Equally ever, t he opinions are entirely my own.
All iii of my children actually sat through an ENTIRE motion picture on the weekend. Gosh omnipotent, I swear I've been waiting YEARS for this to happen! We sat down together as a family unit and watched The Secret Life of Pets (You lot can buy it on Blu-ray & DVD on December 6) and we made it through the entire movie without pausing it even once. I have been dreaming of having a family film night, probably since before I even had my kids!
So we had three kids and we realized that i. They don't like grown up movies, and ii. They don't similar to sit down still for very long. And then it took u.s. a few actress years to make this happen… All I tin can say is thank goodness these kids movies are filled with grown up humour! My husband and I were laughing out loud a few times, and the kids were like "whaaaat???". Ha!
Too, did I tell y'all we got a dog last month? It's a long story, just he's a furry footling silver coloured miniature poodle named Chase. The kids have been over-the-moon thrilled about having him here! They're super excited to buy him Christmas presents, and of course they wanted to make him his very own Christmas ornament to hang on the tree. These puppy paw print salt dough ornaments are SO Beautiful!! And they're such a fun way to gloat our new hirsuite friend! It's such a sweet Christmas emblem idea and they ended upwardly looking Adorable!
So with our own new pet in the family, and The Surreptitious Life of Pets movie to watch, I decided to brand a whole fun filled family dark out of it! We made the manus print salt dough ornaments, watched the film together while the ornaments stale out in the oven, and and so nosotros painted and GLITTERIZED them (that's not a word, but I'g okay with that…).
I know, I know, our dog is actually a boy, but the pink and white ornament above was inspired by one of the moving-picture show characters – I'll get to that in a minute. It really concluded upwardly existence the cutest ane we made! We made a blueish and white ornament for our pup, but information technology was harder to photo. I've included a pic of information technology forth with our new pup Chase downwardly below.
My kids (or my girls at least…) fell in love with the movie graphic symbol named Gidget. And since we had then many hand impress ornaments that had broiled, we decided to make one for Gidget every bit well. And it ended upwardly being the cutest one we made!
The movie The Hugger-mugger Life of Pets is a comedy virtually the lives our pets atomic number 82 after we leave for piece of work and school each 24-hour interval. Do you ever wonder what your own pets exercise when you're not home? I'grand pretty convinced our poodle spends a lot of time staring at our door like the main graphic symbol of the movie, Max in the picture beneath (and possibly barking and scratching at the door as well…).
You tin buy The Secret Life of Pets with 3 Mini Movies on Blu-ray & DVD on December 6. It's such a fun movie to watch together as a family this holiday season! It'southward from the aforementioned people who made Despicable Me (my kids LOVE those movies as well!).
The new release features nearly an 60 minutes of bonus content, including iii hilarious mini-movies: the all-new Norman Tv and Weenie PLUS Mower Minions which debuted in theaters and is at present available to own.
The all-star voice bandage includes Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan, Steve Coogan and Albert Brooks. Here's the trailer for the movie…
Before nosotros started watching the movie, we fabricated the salt dough and then it could dry out out in the oven during the movie.

When the pic was over and our ornaments were baked and stale, they were fix to decorate! Paint, glue and glitter… oh my give-and-take, those are my girls' favourite things!
