What you need to know

  • NVIDIA announced its new Ampere-powered GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPUs at Computex 2022.
  • Both GPUs feature boosted retentiveness, CUDA and RT cores, and more compared to non-Ti versions.
  • The flagship RTX 3080 Ti is expected to be available from June 3 starting at $1,199.
  • The RTX 3070 Ti is expected to be bachelor June 10 starting at $599.

NVIDIA today unveiled its new Ampere-powered GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti graphics cards at Computex 2022. The non-Ti versions already concur superlative spots in our best graphics card collection, so there's no doubt these GPUs should exist quite popular for gamers and creators alike who require extra functioning. The RTX 3080 Ti should provide a stiff boost for anyone interested in loftier-quality 4K gaming, while the RTX 3070 Ti should testify to be the go-to selection for peak QHD gaming.

NVIDIA claims the RTX 3080 Ti is twice every bit fast as the GTX 1080 Ti in terms of traditional rasterization, while the RTX 3070 Ti will double the GTX 1070 Ti and go 1.5 times again as fast as the RTX 2070 Super when it comes to raw performance. And these GPUs aren't without the NVIDIA magic, including mature ray tracing and DLSS capabilities, NVIDIA Broadcast streaming tool, and NVIDIA Reflex latency reduction.

NVIDIA's new GPUs have inappreciably been a well-kept secret. In that location have been multiple RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti leaks in the weeks leading upwardly to the announcement, confirming everything from functioning specs to design choices.

The RTX 3080 Ti will employ the GA102-225 GPU, with 10,240 CUDA cores, 80 RT cores (dedicated cores for ray tracing), 12GB of GDDR6X VRAM with a 384-bit bus, and a 350W TDP. The RTX 3070 Ti is going with the GA104-400 GPU with six,144 CUDA cores, 48 RT cores, and 8GB of GDDR6X VRAM with 256-fleck bus. Following is a breakdown of the Ti-model specs compared to the non-Ti versions already on the marketplace.

Category RTX 3080 Ti RTX 3080 RTX 3070 Ti RTX 3070

List cost $1,199 $699 $599 $499

The RTX 3080 Ti will undoubtedly see a benefit from the extra 2GB of GDDR6X VRAM, wider 384-bit bus, and extra CUDA and RT cores compared to the NVIDIA RTX 3080. The RTX 3070 Ti gets a bump up to the G6X VRAM with the same bus compared to the NVIDIA RTX 3070, as well as more CUDA and RT cores. Note that the RTX 3080 Ti has besides seen a considerable bump in terms of TDP, up to 350W from 320W. That's now on par with the mighty RTX 3090.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is expected to go on sale June three starting at $i,199. That's considerably more the standard RTX 3080, then information technology will be interesting to see if the performance is really worth the actress $500. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is expected to keep sale a week later on June ten. Prices will start at $599, only $100 more than than the list cost for the RTX 3070. Look to encounter 3rd-political party options from ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galax, Gigabyte, Inno3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac.

No GPUs are piece of cake to find right now, so be sure to have a look at our guide on where to purchase NVIDIA RTX 30-serial graphics cards for more than data.
