Award Winning Pumpkin Decorating Ideas
Photographer: Ralph Smith, Stylist: Blake Ramsey
When it comes to fall décor ideas, some folks love to display harvest-themed decorations to keep up through Thanksgiving. Others choose to bust out festive outdoor Halloween decorations. No matter your preference—it could even be both!—you can also use these best pumpkin decorating ideas to spiff up your porch. Whether you're looking for creepier creations, or you simply want to paint your pumpkins seasonal colors, you can find a ton of inspiration from these ideas.
Anyone who's looking to get their fill of Halloween crafts will find plenty to do here. Although many of these pumpkins contain images or phrases perfect for the holiday (like "Boo!" or "Eek!"), there are a few projects that have the same spirit but feel a little more unexpected. For example, the glow-in-the-dark pumpkin with neon polka dots will look striking any time of day or night. If you're looking for pumpkin crafts that are a little more sophisticated, check out the many floral-themed DIYs. Ree Drummond loves floral patterns, and painting them on a pumpkin is a beautiful way to give them more of an autumnal feel. The ombré flower pumpkin, which can be customized to the color scheme of your choosing, is a real beauty!
Best of all, most of these creative, easy pumpkin decorating ideas are no-carve, saving you time—and a whole lot of mess.

Floral Monogram Pumpkin
To make these gorgeous monogrammed gourds, you'll need some painter's tape, flower stencils, a foam pouncer, and craft paint. Once you've drawn thick block letters on each pumpkin, outline them with painter's tape. Then tape the stencils inside the letters and use the pouncer to dab the paint onto the pumpkin to fill in the stencil. Let dry, then remove the tape to unveil your masterpiece.
